2. Scrapbook Paper Scraps or fabric scraps

3. ModPodge ( you can make your own Modpodge simply by combining elmer's glue, tad bit of varnish, and half water )  Or, you can look up some cool Modpodge recipes on Pinterest: http://pinterest.com/pin/6473993183843212/

It's the Little Things..

It's the little things in life that matter most..right?  Well, It is for me especially when I walk downstairs and I can smell the wood of my new piano. LOL. Crazy, I know...but it just makes me so happy, that I own it!  Music is a huge part of my life. I've been playing the piano for over 20 years!  Did you know this piano weighs 940lbs... yikes.  If there's an earthquake, im going under the piano.  It will either, 1. save my life or 2. squash me <3

I'm thinking the "Piano room" needs a few chairs, a nice rug....and such. Hmmm Is this the next project!?!?!?!!?

A weekend Get-A-Way

My boyfriend runs a professional Starcraft2 team and this last weekend he was in Ohio for MLG.  So with him being gone for 4 days, I decided to take my foster kid up to San Francisco for the weekend.  It was so nice to catch up with family, and go shopping!  Rain, shine, more rain, it was all worth it!

St. Patrick's Day

Because tomorrow is St. Patrick's day,...  I decided to bring our ELF ON A SHELF back for 1 night only and suprise our foster kid.  You may have heard about the Christmas tradition, Elf on a Shelf.  If you haven't, here is a link that will give you the load down...http://www.elfontheshelf.com/ .   So Ollie (our house elf) left on Christmas day to return back to the northpole.  Word has it, he is making a special come back for tonight to drop off our foster kid a treat!  I .... I mean HE even made himself a new getup for the Irish Holiday! Check him out!

Oh Ollie, We've missed you!!!

By request, I will upload all of the wild days Ollie had at our house during holiday season 2011!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!!!

I've added some new items to my website, here's some sneak peeks!

Here we go again!

Our Huskies were at it again!  Two nights ago, we were awaken with the dogs going nuts.  We found out there was a huge field mouse hiding in the eves of our house.  Bernie took a broom and knocked it off and it fell and ran elsewhere.  The dogs chased it.  We didn't see it again,....until yesterday!
Here are the results!

Photos at the House

I decided to post a few photos of my favorite rooms in my house.  The family room and piano room!

Pantry Part 2

Here is the remake of the pantry part 2.  I have a cabinet in the kitchen devoted to spices, seasonings, baking items such as flour, sugar, powdered sugar, and so on.  I finally had the time to "re-do" it. Check it out.

I used jars for the sugar, flour, etc.  I used baskets to keep spices (I hate spice racks, they are tacky!) and miscellaneous things.  Simple as that!

Sombersome

Today, has been one of those days.  I don't know if it has anything to do with the full moon, or the threat of a solar flare from the sun, but I'm honestly not feeling it tonight.  I went to the gym which is a huge stress reliever for me, but it just didn't cut it today.  My other stress reliever is my piano, well that's not here so...no chance of playing it as of yet.  So, the next best thing is to look at all the cool places Bernie and I've gone to.  I'm so fortunate to share a passion of travel with him.  We first went on a cruise in 2010.  We went to the Caribbean.  It was my third time in paradise, his first.  Our second cruise together was last May of 2011.  I had never been so it was quite the experience and far different from the Caribbean.  I will post a blog at a later date in detail of these experiences, but for now, I put together a little "lift me up" to get me through the night.

Our Dogs are Nuts.

We have two huskies. They are great dogs, but enough is enough!  They are killing rodents left and right.  This first picture was when my foster kid and I saw Sasha chewing up a dead squirrel, and secondly, the neighbor's cat enjoys taunting them.....  beware!

At last! Spring!

Spring is finally here!  We've been enjoying 70-80 degree weather!  We actually have had a pretty mild winter with only a few days that you really needed a coat.  Despite all the sunshine, I spent all afternoon yesterday picking weeds and laying dirt.  This morning, I planted some new flowers in the garden and also in the flower pots on the porch. Take a look...

Pain in the A$$ Pantry!

So, our kitchen pantry is a good size.  But theres only 5 shelves.  And they're tall and deep.  We don't necessarily have a whole bunch of food at any given time, but it all seems so cluttered and messy.  Therefore, I started the pantry makeover.  It's not 100% complete, but the difference is already huge!  Take a peek.

Here's the before... messy!

Its amazing how big spaces are when they're all cleaned out!  I did choose to leave my squishy beige shelf liners in because they're so easy to clean and they match the rest of my kitchen.  I do plan on painting inside the pantry a sage green,....when I can convince the "Man of the House" to let me, although he never gives any opinions on anything, which is a big annoying at times.

When I was at Michael's Craft store earlier, I saw the baskets they had 50% off, I grabbed this one so I decided to put our zip lock baggies, trash bags, foil, seran wrap, napkins,..etc inside.

This is my favorite little tool.  I used this Chalkboard spray on the "magnetic" chalkboard I made for the fridge... I used it again today for my "chalkboard" labels!

After sorting all my foods out and planned on how I figured I'd arrange everything, this is what I came up with...but for now, I'm still missing a few baskets and few apothecary jars that need to be added in.

Maybe this will bring you some inspiration (and motivation) to get a head start on your spring cleaning! As for me, I still have a bit to do in the pantry but hey,..we can only do so much on a nice Friday afternoon!
