Mexico
While I was heading into work today, my boyfriend sent me a text and said "We were on a cruise a year ago today." It made me smile, but made me think. Holy Crap! It's already been a year since we went to Mexico. We went to the Caribbean in 2010 which seems like forever ago. So here's a photo of us when we were in Cabo a year ago (give or take a few days!)

LA LA for Laundry room
So, I've been quite busy working hard on the laundry room re-do. I finally My dad got the cabinet moved to the garage, and the dryer moved to the correct side of the washer. I painted the laundry room "Veridian Green." At first, I was nervous because it came out light baby blue on the walls, and I freaked! But all is well and it turned out nice.
I am still waiting for my shelf from IKEA that I had to order online after two attempts of purchasing it at their store. So I will have the finish product hopefully by the end of next weekend. Until then, here are some of the photos I've gathered.

Rendition of My Heart Will Go On
I thought it would be fun to video some of the piano pieces I play. The first video I did is me playing my rendition of Celine Dion's "My Heart Will Go On." This is my trademark. I've been playing this song for 15 years! The reason being, it was the first piece of music I played that broadened my knowledge of technics. Have a listen (Oh and my background music plays,...just click pause on the lower bottom corner of this page..its pink duh.)
DIY Decorative Candle
By a special request from my friend Lindsay, Here is how to make a decorative Candle. I also have them for sale on my website. If you choose to view, you can go here: Pink Memories Pillar Set.
Materials:
1. A Candle. Votive and Pillar candles work great. I like to use different colors. Even scented ones work well too!
2. Tissue Paper
3. A computer
4. ModPodge. Need a recipe? There are many to choose from on Pinterest, it is simple glue and water.
5. Paintbrush
6. Printer (and it doesn't need to be a fancy dancy one either)
Step One:
Locate a Photo online. You can even use words, phrases, or quotes too.
Step Two:
Cut your issue paper and TAPE both ends to a heavy card stock (something that will go through the printer just fine). I use cardstock.
Step 3:
Insert your cardstock and taped tissue paper into your printer and print your photo.
Step 4:
Next, cut your picture (or quote) out, but measure the size of the candle. It should wrap evenly. See the picture below.
Step 5:
Using Modpodge, or your combination of Glue and Water, gently brush on your tissue paper to the candle. *REMEMBER* you are working with tissue paper, it is FRAGILE. ITmaynot WILL BREAK! So, I normally will dab on modpodge first and swipe gently. Cover the entire candle, except for the top and bottle of course. And Let dry!
Wahhh LA!

Popcorn Machine
When I was working full time at a pre-school, my co-teacher and I would make several (large) things for our classroom, and the front office. Today, they asked where my "Popcorn Machine" was, and I swore that I folded it up and put it away. Unfortunately, We could not seem to locate it today,..so when I came home, I built a new one! Here it is!
With my handy Cricut, some cellophane, tape, and scrapbook paper, I was able to make a new, and improved one!
It's hard to tell in the photo but I'm standing behind the cellophane! Pretty Cool huh?

Edible Easter Basket
Here is my rendition of the Edible Easter Basket. Cost? Less than $5 to make!
Materials Needed:
4 Kitkat Bars (Marshmallow Peep boxes work well too)
Easter Grass
Filler Candy
CardStock
Hot Glue Gun
First you want to hot glue the corners of the candies together. Next hot glue the bottom of the candies to card stock.. I choose Green polkadotted Easter paper to go along with the theme. Finally, add a handle (I braided three pieces of cardstock and hot glued to the inside walls of the KitKat). Add your grass and some jelly beans or other candies, and wahhhla! The Edible Easter Basket.
Ive seen many variations of this project however, this size is perfect for little kids, or big boyfriends and dads too! :)

It's the Little Things..
It's the little things in life that matter most..right? Well, It is for me especially when I walk downstairs and I can smell the wood of my new piano. LOL. Crazy, I know...but it just makes me so happy, that I own it! Music is a huge part of my life. I've been playing the piano for over 20 years! Did you know this piano weighs 940lbs... yikes. If there's an earthquake, im going under the piano. It will either, 1. save my life or 2. squash me <3
I'm thinking the "Piano room" needs a few chairs, a nice rug....and such. Hmmm Is this the next project!?!?!?!!?

A weekend Get-A-Way
My boyfriend runs a professional Starcraft2 team and this last weekend he was in Ohio for MLG. So with him being gone for 4 days, I decided to take my foster kid up to San Francisco for the weekend. It was so nice to catch up with family, and go shopping! Rain, shine, more rain, it was all worth it!

Here we go again!
Our Huskies were at it again! Two nights ago, we were awaken with the dogs going nuts. We found out there was a huge field mouse hiding in the eves of our house. Bernie took a broom and knocked it off and it fell and ran elsewhere. The dogs chased it. We didn't see it again,....until yesterday!
Here are the results!

Pantry Part 2
Here is the remake of the pantry part 2. I have a cabinet in the kitchen devoted to spices, seasonings, baking items such as flour, sugar, powdered sugar, and so on. I finally had the time to "re-do" it. Check it out.
I used jars for the sugar, flour, etc. I used baskets to keep spices (I hate spice racks, they are tacky!) and miscellaneous things. Simple as that!
